You are invited to join a one-day portrait sculpting workshop with artist and sculptor Alexandra Slava at Alterpose Studio in Warsaw, Poland.

During this intensive 5-hour workshop, you will create a 1/2–3/4 life-size portrait in oil-based clay, working directly from a life model. The class will explore the fundamental principles of portrait sculpture, with particular emphasis on the anatomy and proportions of the human head, as well as the techniques of direct observation that allow you to translate complex visual information into a convincing and expressive sculptural form.

The workshop will combine focused lectures, practical demonstrations, and hands-on instruction, with regular individual feedback throughout the process. Alexandra will guide each participant through the stages of building and refining the portrait, offering insights into structure, proportion, and the subtle details that bring a likeness to life.

The workshop is designed to provide both a strong foundation in portrait sculpture and an opportunity to deepen your observational and sculptural skills in an inspiring, focused studio environment.

All tools and materials will be provided, and participants are welcome to take their finished sculptures home at the end of the workshop.
