Wooden Portrait Sculpting Armature

€88.40

When you begin sculpting, the last thing you want to worry about is gravity. For anything beyond small-scale pieces with simple designs, a reliable internal structure is essential to support the weight and form of your sculpture. Our portrait armatures are thoughtfully designed with both functionality and durability in mind, featuring a sturdy wooden base equipped with “feet” for stability and easy handling as your work grows heavier.

The vertical wooden pole is mounted at an angle to mimic the natural forward tilt of the neck, while four strategically placed screws at the top provide secure grip points, keeping your clay firmly in place.

The wood is sealed with lacquer for water resistance and durability, allowing the armature to be reused for multiple projects over the years.

The structure includes:

• Wooden base: 1.5 cm thick, 40 cm x 40 cm, 3 cm high with “feet” for easy handling

• Wooden pole: 4 cm x 4 cm, 40 cm long, angled to mimic the natural tilt of the neck

• 4 screws for secure grip points

• 2 sleeve nuts and an Allen key for quick assembly

The total weight of the armature is 2.5 kg. It is delivered disassembled, with a user manual included. It can be built up in minutes and easily disassembled for compact storage, saving valuable studio space.

Thoughtfully crafted for sculptors of all levels, this armature is a reliable and versatile companion for your creative projects.

Each armature is carefully designed and handcrafted in our Berlin studio, so please note that the type of wood and finish may vary slightly from the product images.
