  • Alexandra Slava

    FOUNDER, PRINCIPAL INSTRUCTOR SCULPTURE

    Alexandra Slava (b. 1996, Kyiv Ukraine) is a figurative sculptor and the founder of the Berlin Sculpture Atelier.

    She began her formal education at the Taras Shevchenko State Art School in Kyiv. In 2014 Alexandra moved to Italy to continue studying sculpture at the Florence Academy of Art, from which she graduated in 2017.

    In 2022 Slava founded the Berlin Sculpture Atelier - the art space serving as her private studio, gallery and the learning center for figurative sculpture.

  • Mariia Lutsak

    PRINCIPAL INSTRUCTOR ACADEMIC DRAWING

    Mariia Lutsak (b. 1997, Kyiv, Ukraine) is a graphic artist who works in various techniques of printmaking as well as drawing in watercolor and ink.

    Mariia’s educational background includes obtaining a diploma from Taras Shevchenko State Art School in 2014 and a degree in Graphic Arts from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in 2018.

    Mariia moved to Germany in 2022 after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

  • Sheila Verseck

    PRINCIPAL INSTRUCTOR ANIMAL SCULPTURE

    Sheila Verseck (b. 1992, Berlin, Germany) is a mixed-media artist and sculptor.

    Sheila finished her design degree in 2015 at the Media Design University of Applied Science and worked as a 3D artist on various projects ranging from games to architecture. As a sculptor, she has never lost her love for traditional art and combines her 3D design and technical understanding to bring hidden figures out of clay.

    Since 2022 she has started instructing classes on animal sculpting.

  • Ekaterina Kovalenko

    PRINCIPAL INSTRUCTOR RELIEF SCULPTURE

    Ekaterina Kovalenko (b. 1990, Moscow, Russia) is an artist working in a wide range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, jewellery and digital art.

    Ekaterina acquired her artistic education at the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture. In 2019 she completed the Artist Training at the Berlin University of the Arts.

    She has been engaged in various projects, ranging from exhibitions and the realization of public monuments to providing consultation services for other artists and filmmakers.

  • Zane Prater

    PRINCIPAL INSTRUCTOR PAINTING

    Zane Prater (b. 1993 in Denver, CO, USA) has received training in classical figurative painting from prestigious institutions including the San Francisco Art Institute, Thangde Gatsal Painting Studio, and the Barcelona Academy of Art. His artistic repertoire encompasses drawing, painting, and the creation of land-based installations and large-scale public murals.

    Prater's artistic vision intertwines botanical illustration, visionary art, portraiture, and design to explore the intricate connections between humanity and the diverse tapestry of the natural world.
